Remuneration: Voluntary, unremunerated role; reasonable travel and subsistence expenses reimbursed

Heart of Yorkshire Education Group is seeking to appoint a Digital, IT and AI Governor to join its Board and provide strategic insight, informed challenge and assurance on digital transformation, cyber resilience, data governance, emerging technology and responsible AI.
As Digital, IT and AI Governor, you will help the Board understand the opportunities, risks and strategic implications of technology-enabled change. You will provide constructive challenge on digital strategy, cyber security, information governance, systems investment, AI adoption, automation and the future skills needs of learners and employers.
The Board is particularly interested in candidates who can bring:
- Senior-level experience in digital, IT, AI, cyber security, data, systems transformation or technology-enabled change.
- Ability to provide credible, informed challenge on innovation, technology risk, data governance and responsible AI.
- Understanding of cyber resilience, digital infrastructure, systems investment and organisational transformation.
- Strategic insight into how emerging technologies can support education, operations, learner experience and future skills.
